Overseas Chinese and foreign nationals investing in stock issued overseas by a domestic public company, when entrusting their local agent to open an account with a securities broker on their behalf in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 37 of the Regulations Governing Investment in Securities by Overseas Chinese and Foreign Nationals, shall carry out registration and account opening in accordance with paragraph 4 of Article 77, provided, if approval has been obtained and an account opened prior to the sale of the overseas stock, it need not be done anew.
